Man Utd accept Roma's transfer offer for Jadon Sancho
Manchester United have accepted Roma’s transfer offer for their ‘bomb squad’ member Jadon Sancho, according to reports.
The two clubs have reached an agreement on a deal worth €19m (£16.4m) plus €5m (£4.3m) in add-ons, totalling £20.7m, Sky in Italy have reported.
It’s unclear if the move will get over the line, though, with Serie A side Roma having been unable to agree personal terms with Sancho so far.
Sancho is said to have turned down Roma on Monday but the Italian club are hoping to change his mind before the summer transfer window closes.
United are attempting to convince Sancho into joining Roma too – having deemed him surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

Sancho is a member of Ruben Amorim’s ‘bomb squad’ and United are keen to offload him so they can focus on bringing new players to the club.
Leon Bailey, who has just joined Roma on loan from Aston Villa, is a friend of Sancho and is also trying to convince the winger to join him in Rome.
What is a 'bomb squad' in football?
In football, the term ‘bomb squad’ describes a group of players excluded from the first team, often made to train apart from the main squad or with youth and development sides.
Clubs frequently use this tactic to apply pressure on unwanted players to secure moves elsewhere.
Sancho has scored 12 goals and provided six assists across 83 games for United since he joined the club in a £73m deal from Borussia Dortmund.
The Englishman has been loaned back to Dortmund and has also spent time on loan at Chelsea since he moved to United four years ago.
The 25-year-old could now be heading to Roma if the club can agree personal terms with the player but it’s said they ‘won’t be waiting for long’ for him to make a final decision.
Sancho has already snubbed a move to Turkish side Besiktas, rejecting the chance to work with United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Roma and Porto keen on Tyrell Malacia
Meanwhile, Roma are interested in a deal to bring in a second member of United’s ‘bomb squad’, Tyrell Malacia, according to The Athletic.
United want to sell Malacia permanently but it’s said that a loan ‘cannot be ruled out’ for the left-back.
Malacia has attracted interest from Porto too – as United look to offload the 26-year-old after recruiting Diego Leon this summer.
The other two players in United’s ‘bomb squad’ are Alejandro Garnacho and Antony.
Garnacho looks like he could be on his way to Chelsea while Antony has been linked with a permanent move to Real Betis after his loan spell at the Spanish club last season.
Marcus Rashford was in United’s ‘bomb squad’ before he was loaned to Barcelona, with a buy option included in the deal.
