Trump official moved to secure military base after Epstein threats

Attorney General Pam Bondi has reportedly been moved to secure housing on a military base near Washington, D.C., following threats from drug cartels and public anger over her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case.

The move occurred in the past month after federal law enforcement flagged the threats, which reportedly began after the Trump administration's capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

Bondi is not the only official to be moved to secure housing; Stephen Miller, Marco Rubio, Kristi Noem, and Pete Hegseth have also been relocated to protective housing.

The practice of US officials residing on military bases for protection is not unprecedented, with previous instances including Mike Pompeo, James Mattis, and Robert Gates.

Bondi has faced significant criticism for the delayed and incomplete release of Epstein documents, as well as for failing to properly redact victim information, leading to renewed suspicions of a cover-up.
